By Isse Omanga BOKATOLA

In this special edition issue, the author traces the evolution of the legal value of the UN texts on human rights. This text also aims to familiarise the reader with the process leading to the adoption of international instruments as well as the terminology used. This descriptive approach allows the reader to determine the range and limits of international instruments within the framework of relations between States. In the end, the author suggests that knowledge in addition to defending and promoting human rights are among the numerous actions that are necessary to develop democratic institutions.
