Life through the Eyes of Others (2002)

The theme of this issue – Life through the Eyes of Others - offers a humanist stance which could lead to living each day with the ability to recognise oneself through the Other. However, it is precisely this rejection of identifying the slightest similarity of oneself with this Other which leads to rejection and exclusion. Whether it is individual or collective, this destructive ostracism carries in it signs of an unproved feeling of superiority that serves to repress a fear of calling oneself into question. And yet, peace is impossible as long as we shy away from this difficult step, which is important in order to debunk prejudices.
