Schools and Human Rights Education : Six Proposals for Debate and Action, by François Audigier

Summary

Human rights must remain the foundation of any project used to structure society. The same applies for schools, a social institution which is continuously being examined in regard to its proper role for harbouring human rights education. In a difficult and destabilised context which public schools have been unable to avoid, it is necessary to remind ourselves of their indispensable commitment to rights and liberties in guidance and educational deeds as a whole and for whose fulfilment they are responsible.
