Educational Challenges and Human Rights (2003)

This issue is devoted to the theme of educational challenges and human rights. This is a vast subject which has hardly been developed in the past. Moreover, the suggested articles are based on four topics of reflection and study which repeatedly show up as current issues. What is important to grasp as an underlying concept is that the challenges addressed in these texts show that incorporating human rights into education remains an unfinished project. During a time of change and uncertainty, its fruition involves taking on these challenges on many levels and assumes expressing the political will to do so, a will which nonetheless is having trouble making itself heard. Hopefully, the proposals laid out in this edition may help foster debate.
