In Latin America, globalisation unveils itself as conflicting and full of contradictions. In fact, we are faced with an extremely complex issue that we are unable to address in terms of good and evil, advantages and disadvantages, proper or improper or reasonable or irrational. What does seem indisputable is that we cannot detach ourselves from this issue, which is arriving in massive waves with the development of means of communication which have affected industries, rural areas, services, communications and culture.
