United Nations Law as It Pertains to Human Rights, by Isse Omanga Bokatola
Summary
In this article, the author draws a portrait of the changes in the legal merit of UN texts pertaining to human rights. This article also aims to familiarise the reader with procedures for adopting international instruments as well as the relevant terminology. This descriptive approach allows us to take stock of the range as well as the limits of international instruments within the framework of intergovernmental relations. To conclude, the author suggests that knowledge, defence and the promotion of human rights are among the many necessary actions for developing democratic institutions.
