A Rights Approach to Education, by Kitty Arambulo

Summary

In the field of education, it is necessary to adopt a stance which places the right to education at the centre of our concerns and through the human rights notion as laid out in legal instruments on international human rights law. Taking into account these rights in regard to education gives the latter added value. The goal of these rights it to protect individuals and guarantee equality for all, especially in the fields of education, health, housing and employment. This is not a question of humanitarian considerations but definitely rights as such.
