Fundamental Rights : The Forgotten Ones of the Millennium Objectives ?

The Millennium Objectives are among the many recent large-scale ambitions of the UN. Although the UN has set 2015 as its target date, the Organisation could be forced to postpone their realisation, like other initiatives of this type which it has previously undertaken, due to insufficient progress. Furthermore, these Objectives bear witness to a will to fight against all forms of discrimination which undermine the dignity of the human person. However, putting into place concrete policies pertaining to the implementation of the Objectives is bound to come up against serious obstacles.
